Loriann Carrigan: Although I could answer most of these (psychology degree, summa *** laude)--the study guide is meant to help you know what you need to know for the test. It isn't necessarily going to be possible to find the exact questions in the text book--but the questions give you examples of the things you need to concentrate on, such as the activity of neurons, the chemicals (serotonin, dopamine, etc.) that are associated with brain activity, how the electrochemical process works in the brain, etc. Some pretty basic questions (nature vs nature), classical conditioning and some pretty complex questions regarding brain activity, neurological activity, etc. Look in your text (in the back), find the terms in the questions, go to the pages and READ about the topics. Just getting someone else to tell you the an! swers won't work (unless you have a take home test and are che! ating).A good study method--go through the book areas that are to be tested on, first read the questions at the end of the chapter (that tells you what you need to really be looking for and pay attention to), then go to the beginning of the chapter, read the title, read the first sentence and the last sentence of each paragraph, taking special note of any words in bold face type or italics. Once you have gone over the chapter that way, reread the questions at the back of the chapter and see if you can answer them. Write down those you can't answer or are unsure of. You will use these to go back and study more. Do this for the all the area the test covers. You can do this more than once--it doesn't take nearly as much time as reading every word, yet you get the most important parts of the material. Also, make sure to look at set off blocks (miscellaneous information blocks) and any footnotes. Often professors will use these areas to make up questions to see if you actu! ally read the material.Good Luck!...Show more
