Brian Marquina: It's the owner that needs to learn how to train the dog, so sending it away to be trained means it will work for the trainer, but when it gets home the owner will probably do everything wrong and the dog will not respond correctly. Learn how to train your dog obedience https://tr.im/y2dAr Part of the fun in having a well trained dog is learning to! train it correctly yourself. That is also the most rewarding. Some people send dogs away for specialist training, like sheep herding, protection work or gundog training, but even then, that is the lazy way out and good trainers do their own training to get what they want from their own dogs. However it is always more productive to train your dog under a good instructor, especially if you are not experienced...Show more

Cassey Hollinghurst: You can teach a dog anything you want, mostly. But if the dog is smart, it should pick up quickly. Food is the key. Food, and praise. When she does something right, completely exaggerate how big of a deal it is to her and act like its the best thing you've ever seen, and give her a treat but only if she does it. Command her to do things, be like "play dead!" and maybe move her on the ground, and when she stays there for a minute then feed her. You can teach her to shake hands, that ones one of the easiest to start out with, and! you can teach her to play dead, speak, anything really. Jump through hoops. Have fun, and remember to be her BOSS. Don't yell at her, just be firm....Show more
