Whitley Leopold: The Michigan Medicaid benefit includes dental coverage but the benefit is not administered by any of the states contracted Medicaid health plans. If you are a Michigan Medicaid beneficiary enrolled in a health plan, you would need to locate a dentist that accepts Medicaid. The dentist would bill Medicaid for services and not the health plan. Dentists accepting Medicaid are difficult to locate and often have long wait times for appointments. Many Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's) offer dental services and accept Medicaid enrollees. All of the health plans contracted with the state of Michigan cover, at a minimum, the same portions of the Medicaid benefit included in the health plan contract. Cecil Derenzi: Medicaid does not cover dental services for adults in most states. Medicaid every plan covers one pair of glasses and an exam every two years. I dont live in Michigan and dont have Medicaid so I would not know which plan has the better benefits. You have to look it up or ask your case worker.
Olin Hallin: All of the welfare plans have the same coverage - they all cover what welfare stipulates. The only real difference is the doctor network.
