When attending college: Transportation fees, books fees and personal expenses?

Maurice Breuning: 1

Margy Sandquist: You will not pay the school you will be attending for transportation to/from campus. You or your parents will pay for that out of your own money. If you will happen to have financial aid to help pay for your college/university expenses (scholarship, grant and/or loan funds), which will be deposited with your school to cover your tuition and on-campus housing/meal plan (if you will live in campus housing), and if those costs are less than your total financial aid, the unneeded funds can be applied to purchase books/class supplies through the campus book store. If there will not be financial aid funds left over or if the left over funds will not be enough to cover the cost of all your course books and class supplies for the semester, you will need to pay for them yourself. If you will be paying for your books/class supplies yourself, you can either find other places (online) that sell the books for less than they do at the campus b! ook store (be sure they are the same edition of the books required for your courses) or you can rent them. The campus book store may have a text book rental program or you can use one of the reputable online textbook rental services. Renting a textbook is often the least expensive option.Personal expenses are just that - your own expenses for personal care (haircuts, soap, shampoo, etc.), clothing, entertainment expenses (movies, concerts, etc.), snacks/meals with friends that are not part of a pre-paid on-campus meal program (if you live on-campus), cell phone bill, etc. You will be expected to pay your own personal expenses directly to the providers of those goods and services. If you need more help in understanding what your personal expenses will be during college/univ., I hope your parents can explain them to you. Nestor Klan: Why do people ask about this sort of thing? Its none of your damn business, just like his birth certificate. If i had to guess, his family probably contributed and the rest was in student loans, just like everyone else?
