How Can I Connect A Computer To A Network?

Bruno Galasso: Ok...try to see the configuration at your computers that already have internet...If you don't find the answer, and you know a bit, you can try to reset the router and reconfigure it as you want.He may hide the SSID (Name of your wirless network) and Mac Filtering, etc, etc...So, again, first, try to copy as much as possible to copy the correct configuration, and if you don't find how to, reset the router and read the manual from Linsys, is really simple to set up.The default password for the router configuration is "admin" without specifying any user.Regards.Regards....Show more

The desktop should be connected to the router.(Modem to the WAN jack of the router - that's the one all by itself, desktop to one of the LAN jacks - those are the 4 together).Turn on the new laptop. Make sure its wireless adapter is turned on. (Look in the documentation - there may, or may not, be a switch on the top or side to turn it on and off.) It should draw a connection automatically. (If not, post which version of windows ! or MacOS you're running on that laptop, and what, if any, erro! r messages you get.)(Note: All the computers should have *DIFFERENT* IP addresses.)...Show more
